Nanu Nanu

Of all the honors bestowed on us since we started spilling our wine into the gullets of the in-the-know people, this is a special night for this 80s TV kid. Otto's Constant Dream is the official wine of the 15th annual Mork & Mindy convention happening this evening in Boulder Colorado. Because of this our Chieftan and Fianance guru, Melissa and Dan are in Boulder to personally pour our Riesling and Syrah (mork & mindy, get it?) for the Nanu-heads in attendance (this year's record breaking evening squeezed 37 Nanu-heads out of the primordial ooze of America, the UK and Korea). Fun, light-hearted and with an unwavering moral compass OCD Riesling is the wine equivalent of Mork, obviously and our dark, dusky and difficult Mindy is Syrah all the way. However you slice it, Otto is amped to be part of this rarefied world!

Raise your glasses, wherever you are to Mork, Mindy, Dan, Melissa and all the Nanu-heads out there.

  1. Greetings from Denver! I have been in the Colorado market all week, having hours of fun promoting OCD and Communal Brands. I've been to lots of cool shops and restaurants, and Otto just feels right at home over here. He really digs the west- with its clean mountain air, big wide open spaces, and a generally slower pace of ife than in the urban, Brooklyn aspect of his roots. Out here in Colorado, he reminisces about New Zealand, his other origin. Otto truly represents the best of both worlds. He is a laid back cat that thrives in the outdoors, with the balance of a hip urban edge. He is so totally cool. . .Now, probably one of the highlights of my trip thus far has been the in-store tasting last night at Richard and Caroline's awesome wine shop in the Washington Park neighborhood of Denver. It's called Lloyd and Maxwell, and is totally worth a trip. Richard and Caroline are friends from NYC. They left about a year ago to fulfill their dream of opening 'not just another wine merchant'. It was so incredible to see what they'd accomplished. The space, with its thoughtful design and attention to detail, filled with a knock-out selection of wine, sake and other specialities makes this place a realdestination. Not to mention the warm feel of the shop, with Richard and Caroline's generous spirits and keen knowledge of wine. Their Friday evening tasting boasted and amazing turnout, and it was so great to see the wonderful relationships they'd developed with their neighborhood customers. It was truly inspiring to see that their dream had become a reality. Otto was so proud!
